Welcome!

2nd Workshop on Thermodynamics of Fatigue Process

online

November 13, 2024

15:00-19:00 CET

Invitation

The second volume of the workshop comes after the first initial volume, which showed such informal online meetings can bring together people interested in the topic.

This time, we have one more special intention in addition to the regular lectures. We want to discuss the preparation of the 1st Winter School on Thermodynamics of Fatigue Process. Colleagues from Politecnico di Torino (Raffaella Sesana, Francesca Cura and Luca Corsaro) kindly agreed they can manage it there. We have some expected period (second half of February), content (related to the PhD course held commonly in Polito), and lecturers for it. But anyway, we would like to open the discussion with other members of the community and their hints and ideas, so that we could make the winter school even better. So, if you join us, consider this and reflect what could be included in the winter school.

Attendance Fee

No attendance fee is requested.

Used Language

English language is the official language of the lectures.

Workshop Location & Timing

The meeting is held online. It will be recorded and its content will be made available to the meeting participants within few days after the meeting ends. To ensure that participans from other time zones than European countries could join with their entries, the prerecorded lectures can be sent to me papuga@pragtic.com in such a case, and I will play the content at the workshop. You as a lecturer will just miss the response from audience. The program can be found below.

Application

You can register to the meeting by an e-mail to papuga@pragtic.com.

If you do not want to be just passive attendant, and you can present content of your own research, please write me there the optimum time slot necessary for your presentation including its estimated duration. It is envisaged that the common presentation should take 15-30 minutes.

I would like to ask the lecturers, to send me the title of their lecture, names of co-authors, their affiliation, and the expected duration till the end of Wednesday November 6, 2025.

Once you apply, you will be included into a maillist, members of which will get the invitation to the meeting with the link to a Zoom session on Monday November 11.
