Dr Zuheir Barsoum
|
Zuheir Barsoum has been at the Department of Aeronautical and Vehicle Engineering, Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm, Sweden,
for more than 15 years where he serves as director of studies. His research interests cover fatigue and fracture of welded structures and he have authored
and co-authored more than 100 articles in international journals and conferences. Dr. Barsoum is also an expert member of IIW (International Institute of Welding)
within CXIII (Fatigue behaviour of welded structures and components). He is serving as an IIW chairman. A particular feature of Dr. Barsoum´s research has been
in extensive collaboration with the industry, Volvo Group, SSAB, Arcelor Mittal among many others. Dr. Barsoum is also a frequently engaged consultant in
welding/joining and structural integrity within the industry in Sweden and internationally.
