- Double function / head of ”Repairs” department in 1998
- Double function / head of transnational CoC domain "Metal Design Principles" 2001 to 2003
- retired from Airbus September 2003
- Consultant of the engineering office AeroStruc – Aeronautical Engineering March 2004 to December 2008
- Managing Director of AeroStruc since January 2009

- Ernst-Gassner award received in September 2004 by Fraunhofer Gesellschaft LBF
- Plantema medal received from ICAF in June 2005
- Hans-Jürgen-Schmidt Award established in 2005 by the IWSHM to award people who drive SHM application
